Editing the Main Page
Is there any particular reason that the Main Page can't be changed by regular editors?

Ralph suggested that we lock down the Main Page to protect it from being vandalized. This makes sense to me, as it is the gateway to our wiki, and if completely defaced, it could result in much confusion (especially to a new visitor) until the vandalism was noticed and reverted. Without this protection, if a vandal/bot was at all determined to alter our front page, one could—because all that would be required to do so is a response from a valid e-mail address. So, as it stands at present, only Users granted Sysop status by the WikiSysop can make changes to the Main Page.
