Basic Wiki Markup

To get started, here are the basics in Wiki markup language. WikiMedia software (the same software that Wikipedia uses) supports some but not all HTML. Wiki language isn't hard either, just a bit different. To make a new page (after reading a bit below) ... type it's name enclosed in two brackets ex. 

 [[My test page]]  test geography page

Try it here, then save the page and click on your link to create it.

What you want to do: How to do it:
To create sections, do the the following in order.

Don't go from two to four. A table of contents will automagically be generated on most pages that don't start with __NOTOC__.

To indent a line use a colon

When leaving a comment on a Talk page it is a good idea to sign it.

To sign with just your user name use three tildes:

Joe SUNY

Or four for name, date and time

Joe SUNY 01:28, 10 April 2006 (EST)

Or five for just date/time

01:28, 10 April 2006 (EST)
